Managing your Eshop Content

The Web Designer needs to have the necessary tools to build your Eshop. Think of a contractor…would they start building a house using a nail filer? I don’t think so. What the Web Designer needs is all information related to the content of your Eshop such as photos, texts, product descriptions, etc. Once this content is completed, the Web Designer reviews and uploads it.

Logo
Your Eshop needs to have a logo and it needs to be good because it builds your recognition among the audience. A Graphic Designer can create your logo for you but there’s also the option of buying a ready logo from a design deposit bank. This is then given to the Web Designer in a linear format and your brand awareness is built!

Texts
Your Eshop needs to have texts. And these texts need to talk about:
Front Page
About Us
Product Categories
Product Page
Order Page
Payment Page
Wishlist
Contact page
Advertising
Payment methods
Dispatch
Cancellation policy
Return policy
Privacy policy
Terms of use
and many more…

Emails to Customers
The Web Designer makes sure that your customers are up to date regarding their orders. This means that they get an email whenever:

  • the order is confirmed
  • the order is being prepared
  • the order is complete
  • the order is modified
  • there are offers or discounts, etc.

Translation
The texts on your Eshop need to be translated if you want and the same goes for all emails to customers. Choose the languages you wish to translate into and have a professional translator do that for you.

Photos and Videos
The client (You) needs to give all photos or videos to the Web Designer so as for the audience to have a visual of the product they are buying. Ideally, the photos should at least have full high definition 1920*1080 and videos should be uploaded on YouTube. This will make it easier for the Web Designer to use YouTube links instead of possibly jamming your website with video uploading.
If you do not have any photos, you can find (for free or paid) photos online on image banks. These of course do not include photos of your actual products (see below).

If your photos need processing, this is not your task but joint work with the Graphic Designer and the Web Designer.

Product Information
For each product on your Eshop, you need to have the right text and photo so that it can be visible on search engines. To do that, check out ‘Uploading Products on the Eshop’.
