Uploading products to your Eshop

While the  Web Designer is building the Eshop, the customer has to prepare the necessary content for every product. This is a time-consuming process. Every product information has to be entered into a CSV file.

This file contains all the details of your products that will be listed in the store:

– Product Title
– Product Description
– Product category
– Related images
– Price
– Weight
– Other information

If your Eshop is bilingual (eg Greek and English), then you should, for each product, supply the Web Designer with the above information in both languages.

You should gather the above information and give it to the Web Designer so they can customize the CSV file, and upload it to the store.
So you should take care of the following:

1) Product Categories
Divide products into categories and subcategories. It is very important to do this because this will affect the appearance of your products in search engines (Google etc.).If you need help categorizing your products, utilize your daily experience in the physical world. Think of how you interact with your customers and take notice of the words they use when they ask for your products.  Use those keywords to categorize your products. You can also research the competition to get some ideas.

2) Product Images
All products must be photographed, preferably in square dimensions. Beautiful professional-looking images generate online sales. We recommend you hire a  professional photographer for your product images.

In addition to the dimensions, it is important you save all product photos in a format that will help your SEO rankings. Ideally, your photo files should be saved (named) according to the product title (eg Samsung_galaxy_A5_2017.jpg)

3) Product Texts
In your Eshop, each product will have its own separate page with photos and text describing its features. This text must contain keywords with which the user searches for the product in the various search engines (so-called SEO). You must prepare these texts and give them to the Web Designer (along with the photos) so that he can list them in your Eshop.

4) Other Information
such as product price, weight, colors, etc.

The time to prepare the CSV file depends on whether you have this information ready or if you need to collect it from your suppliers. It also depends on whether your Eshop is monolingual or will be displayed in multiple languages.

In any case, the manufacturer, once he hands you the Eshop, will train you on how to manage it and his products (even if you ask him to do the data entry of the products himself). It is important to learn to manage the products yourself because you will make frequent changes, every time you have discounts, promotions, add or delete products, etc.

The training will also include the use of the management system to import and edit products without using a CSV file. This is preferred in cases where we want to make changes/additions to a very small number of products.

5) Product SEO.
When products are entered into the system, they should be displayed in a way that improves their appearance and ranking in search engines. For this to happen, we must take relevant actions (the so-called on-page SEO). These techniques must be done in each product and language separately.

Cost of uploading products to the eshop
Indicative price for uploading 100 products in 2 languages and handling the on-page SEO for each product: €335.
