The promotion of an Eshop is divided into four major sections:

1) Advertisements
2) Additional Applications
3) Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
4) Analytics

Advertisements

There are several ways you can advertise your Eshop online. You don’t have to focus on just one of them. It is best to try all the ways, evaluate the performance of the promotion and draw the right conclusions.

Your Eshop can be advertised through Social Media. When we advertise on Social Media, the goal is to attract interest and increase traffic to our store. We do this in three ways:

1) We create interesting content for the audience that follows us and wants to share it with others
2) We build paid advertising campaigns to spread our message beyond our personal network.
3) We work with Influencers – “opinion makers” in our industry, who can talk about us to their audience.

Your Eshop can also be displayed in the Google search engine. The web community searches the web for your products and services with relevant keywords. To appear in the first Google results you use Google Ads. Showing your business on popular websites, related to the subject of your business is a smart tool to attract more visitors to yours.

A third way to promote your store is to advertise on websites related to your subject that sell ad spots. For example, if your store sells organic products, you can advertise on the website of a famous health food magazine. In such a case you should contact the owners of the website and discuss the possibility of cooperation with them. Each website display point has a different cost and of course a different performance. You will need to create the appropriate banners that will go on the website and lead to your store.

Additional Applications

When we build an Eshop with Woocommerce, we have a platform with the basic functions of an online store. Users can visit your store, view your products and make a purchase. But the possibilities that Woocommerce gives you are much more. Woocommerce has a huge range of apps that you can add to your store to perform additional tasks (just like you add apps to your mobile).

There are thousands of apps on the market that can help you grow your customer base, leverage it for additional sales, find out what pages they visit and what are the most popular products. Learn more about the available apps in the guide to adding apps to your Eshop.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

When users search for products or services online, the search engine will display some results. For example if you are looking for sports shoes, the engine will show you Eshops of companies selling sports goods. These results can be dozens or hundreds. Here the question arises: How does the search engine decide the ranking of these companies (ie their Eshop) on the user’s screen? What can the company do on its side to improve the ranking of its Eshop?

There are various actions that can be taken within a company’s Ehop so that it is promoted and remains in higher positions. It’s a time-consuming process, but if done right, it’s a great investment in your store’s performance.

Analytics

Analytics are not just another promotion for your Eshop. It is a promotional evaluation tool. Through Analytics you can find out more information about the audience that visits your store. The goal is to process the resulting data and make the corresponding business decisions.

Through analytics you will be able to better understand the performance of your products, find out where your visitors come from and what led them to see your store. You can learn additional statistics such as demographics, user location, length of stay in store, pages visited and products viewed but not purchased. Finally, through analytics, you can better understand the performance of your Social Media ads.

The most well-known tools you will use for this purpose are Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.
